It is with deeply saddened hearts that the family of Sandra Lea Bridekirk announces her sudden passing at her home, on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at the age of 74.
Beloved mother and best friend of Kim Bridekirk. Dear sister of Marie Scott and sister in-law Hazel Macko. Special second brother to Lenny Salisbury (Barb). Devoted Aunt to Gail Horton (Walt), Jack Scott (Shirley), Terry Zavitz (Steve), Dona Swift (Tony), Lisa Bradley (Tim Woodland) and Samantha Boucher (Gilles) and several great nieces and nephews and their families. Treasured second mother to Suzanne Cooper. Cherished Grandma to Tawny Savage (Charlie), Jesse Cooper. Loving devoted Great Grandma to Blayd James and Everly Savage. Sandi will be missed by many including her cousin Anna Peterman (Bill), and her close group of friends who were just like family, Jane Huggett, Sharon Laing, Trudy Catherwood, Beth Squire (Wayne), Daphne Bartlett (John), Mary Ellen Howes (Earl), Heather Jansen (Doug), Bonnie Burdett (Brian), Al Weinberger and her special angel Drew Salisbury, many cousins, and members of her vendor family. She will also be missed by her fur baby Gary who tended to be her shadow.

Sandi had the biggest heart of anyone we knew and was extremely loyal to her family and friends. She loved to cook for her family and friends and was well-known for having the best turkey dressing, chili, and walking tacos. She was a proud member of Kiki’s Krusader & Friends Fundraising Team formed in honor of daughter Kim
following her diagnosis with cancer. They have raised thousands of dollars for local charities and individuals or families in need. Sandi was an active member of our local Navy Club, always willing to give a helping hand. She was a diehard fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs, enjoyed playing cribbage or going to BINGO with her friends, listening to country music, especially the Oakridge Boys. She also loved spending time with her vendor family at various fundraisers that were held to support local charities.
A private graveside service will take place on Thursday, May 23 at 10:00 am at Hillsdale Cemetery in Petrolia. This will be followed by a Celebration of Life at the Navy Club located at 1420 Lougar Ave in Sarnia at 11:30 am. Memorial donations are requested to go to Charlotte Eleanor Englehart Hospital of Bluewater Health or to Bluewater Health Sarnia to the Inpatient Rehabilitation Services.
