Obituary of RoseMarie Horton
Horton, Rosemarie (nee Travis)
A resident of Chatham, Rosemarie went to be reunited with her late husband Bill Horton (2008) on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at the Chatham-Kent Hospice.
Born October 23, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Earl & Eldine (nee Covyeow) Travis.
Forever remembered by her sister, Martha Bridgen (the late Robert), Richard Travis (Pat), David Travis (the late Elaine) and Gaylord Travis (Glenda). Predeceased by her brother, Henry Travis.
Missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunt & uncle.
Best friend of Maureen and Izzy. Special friend of Donna, Kristy, Veronica & Margaret.
RoseMarie’s personality and caring nature was infectious to others. She was always one to think of others before herself, often cooking meals to share with friends and neighbours. She was a dedicated member of Voice of Triumph Ministries and later, of Praise Fellowship. RoseMarie enjoyed spending her time embroidering, playing Yahtzee and colouring. Her chili sauce recipe will be dearly missed. An animal lover, she dearly missed her furry companions, Codie, Mia, Maggie, Riley & Bailey and her feathered friend, Sarah.
Friends to be received on Friday, May 10, 2024 at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham from 11:00 am until the Service Time at 12:00 pm. Cremation to follow. Bill & RoseMarie will be interred together in Maple Leaf Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation.
