It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Grace Margaret Lebert, a resident of Chatham who passed away on Thursday November 2nd, 2023, at the age of 92.
Grace was born in Es, England to the late Horace and May Diggins. Beloved wife of the late Donald (1989). Loving mother to David Lebert (Sharon), Carol Hazzard (late Jim), Mary Lebert, Pam Taylor (late Chris), Elizabeth Lebert, Dennis Lebert, and Michelle Shepherd (Jeff). Special Grammy to 11 grandchildren, Danielle Perelman (Josh), Andrew Lebert (Crystal), Stewart Lebert (Maly), Sara Hazzard, Matt Hazzard (Randi), Jake Hazzard (Charlotte), Scott Taylor, Daniel Taylor (Sarah), Justine Shepherd, Lauren Field (Justin) and Brady Shepherd. Great-Grammy to Zoe, Emma, Theo, Elle, Braydon, Blake, Mia, Bishop, Cash, Duke, Gage, Charlie, Flora, Wally, Pearl and Lainey.
Loving sister of Ray Diggins, Ann Stemp and the late Alan Diggins. Fondly remembered by many extended members of the Diggins and Lebert family.
Family was everything to Grace. She enjoyed travelling, knitting, watching Jeopardy, doing puzzles, and coffee Saturday with her condo friends.
Family and friends are invited to the Alexander & Houle Funeral Home on Wednesday November 8th, 2023, with visiting from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. A memorial service will follow at 12 pm in the chapel of the funeral home with Deacon Jerry Lozon officiating. Friends planning an expression of remembrance are asked to consider Chatham Outreach for Hunger in Grace’s memory.
