Peacefully, holding hands with his wife of fifty years, Gary H Cooper went to be with the Lord in his 71st year. Gary will be sorely missed by his loving wife Bonnie, his children Angela Nah (Joon), Matt (Allison), and Kate Dowling (Kevin), his grandchildren Rhys, Jackson, Rowan, Gracyn, Emmy, and Maddie. Predeceased by his parents Sidney and Marjorie Jean, and his brother Jack (Maggie).
Gary was a carpenter, with the ability to fix absolutely anything. He was the king of dad jokes, and was able to make everyone in the room smile while simultaneously rolling their eyes. An ever giving servant, Gary derived great joy from driving his school bus. As an active member of Glad Tidings Church in Blenheim, Gary could be found serving on the board, or partnering with Bonnie in teaching Sunday school. He loved living near the water, having spent his childhood in Sarnia, and ending his twilight years with Bonnie in their cozy cottage on the bay in Erieau.
Memorial service with celebration of Gary’s life to follow will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, December 23 at Glad Tidings Church at 403 Chatham Street South, Blenheim Ontario.
