Eva Victoria Perry (nee Biden) entered her heavenly home on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at the Chatham Kent Hospice. Eva was born on May 24th, 1927 in Saskatchewan. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Lucille Biden. Eva is predeceased by her husband, Ray Perry (2020). Mother of Marjory Hall (Joe), Wendy Beasley (Bob), and Susan Perry. Grandmother of eight and great grandmother of eighteen. She is survived by her sister Barbara Croswell. Predeceased by her siblings Evelyn Luesby, Dorothy Newell, and Phyllis Wheeler.
When Eva was seventeen years old she moved to Fort William, Ontario (now Thunder Bay) to work as a ‘Rosie the Riveter’ at Canada Car. During her time in Thunder Bay she met and married Ray and there they started their life together.
Eva was known for her love for God and for being a faithful prayer warrior, a loving wife and the best mom anyone could ever have. She always thought of others first, even in her final days.
We are so grateful for the many people who cared for mom in the last five years through the various agencies and at the retirement home. We will never be able to thank the staff and volunteers at Chatham Kent Hospice enough for caring so lovingly and tenderly for mom in her final days. Not only did they care for our dear mom, they cared for our entire family.
All are welcome to attend a Celebration of Life on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Gregory Drive Alliance Church. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution or in lieu of flowers, donations to the Chatham Kent Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
