Wayne Munro Obituary
Wayne Amos Munro
January 15, 1948 – April 24, 2024
At home surrounded by his family on April 24, 2024. Much loved husband and best friend of Ruth Munro (nee Scott) for 52 years. Cherished and devoted father of Matthew Munro (Shannon) and Shannon Link (Kendall). Proud and loving Poppa of Marie-Josee Roy, Molly Munro, Ella Munro and Oliver Link. Brother of Ethan Cassell (Faye), Willis Munro (Glenda), Doral Munro (Shannon), and Terri Munro (Debbie). Survived by his aunts Beryl Robinson and Vera Black and his sister-in-law Debbie Munro. Predeceased by his parents, Edward and Jennie Munro.
Wayne was a life long musician and an avid outdoors man. He loved being a drummer, enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, his pets, Sura and chickens (the girls) and spending time at his trailer with his family. A special memory was his trip to Nashville and his first flight on an airplane to Halifax. Wayne was most proud of all his grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Alan R. Barker Funeral Home, 19 McArthur Avenue, Carleton Place on Friday, April 26 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. Funeral service will be in the chapel on Saturday, April 27 at 11am. Reception to follow. Donations to Fairview Manor or Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital would be appreciated by Wayne’s family.
