Madonna Carol Bell
The Family of Madonna Carol Bell (Stewart) are sad to announce her peaceful passing on July 8th, 2024, in her 91st year. Madonna was the beloved wife of the late Carl David Bell (2002) and was predeceased by her parents Fletcher and Lillian Stewart (Lemke), her brothers Conrad at infancy and Graham (2021) (Marsha). She leaves behind her children David Bell (Peggy), Debbie Vanrijt (Phil), Terry Bell (Tracey), Sharon Sinfield (Paul) and Mark Bell (Sarah), along with her dear sister and friend Colleen Kenny. She will be missed by her grandchildren, Chris Lefleur-Bell (Jen), Becky Bell- Delvin (Steve), Charlie Bell (Angie) Emma Burr (Ryan), Daina Blois (Patrick) Erin Bell, Jake Sinfield (Ellen), Jesse Sinfield (Angie) and Avery Bell, as well as her three step grandchildren DJ, Teagan and Xander Robbins. Madonna will also be missed by her two nieces Sheena and Suzzanne, four nephews Jock, Rob Roy, Jamie, Johnny and her seven great grandchildren and by many cousins and great nieces and nephews. Her dear friends Danielle, Karen, and Mary will also greatly miss her.
Madonna was a great volunteer and community minded person. She belonged to the Lady Trainmen, Eastern Star, Women’s Institute, St. James Churches in Carleton Place and Franktown. She also served as a member on the Carleton Place Hospital Board and worked as a caregiver for 12 years, with the Red Cross. Madonna also enjoyed being an active member of the water aerobics classes at the Carleton Place Public Pool, for many years.
The family would like to thank the Carleton Place Terrace Staff for all their kindness and support to Madonna over the past years she enjoyed living there. A special thanks to Dr. Marie Bastin-Miller and Nurse Tara Johnston.
A small private family service will be held on Saturday, July 20th, 2024, with a public Celebration of Life to follow between 2PM and 4PM at the St. James Anglican Church Hall, 225 Edmund Street in Carleton Place, where family and friends are invited to come and celebrate the love shared and memories made over Madonna’s lifetime.
For those desiring, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Carleton Place Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
