Peacefully, on Tuesday September 17, 2024 at the Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Orillia at age 86. Beth (nee Shier) beloved wife of the late Murray Smith of Cannington. Loving mother of Rod Smith and his wife Wendy of Cannington. Loved grandmother of Nicole and her husband Brandon Kernan of Brechin, and Brittney and her husband Earl Fairweather of Cannington. Great grandmother of Mila, Madeline, Anna, Ellie, and Scottie. Predeceased by her sisters Lorna and Joan. Will be missed by her nieces and nephews.
A service to Celebrate the Life of Beth Smith will be held at the Stone Church Cemetery, in Beaverton on Friday, September 27, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. A luncheon will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 186, 72 Peace Street in Cannington immediately following the service at the cemetery.
If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Brock Dench Animal Shelter in Cannington through the THORNE FUNERAL HOME, 109 Laidlaw Street South in Cannington (705-432-2672). Memories, photos and condolences may be shared at www.thornefuneralhome.ca
