It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Lorna Doreen Gray (Parks, nee Parkhurst) on September 20, 2024, surrounded by her beloved family.
Lorna was a devoted mother to Dean Parks (wife Barbara) and Dale Parks (wife Stephanie). She was predeceased by her husband, Murray Parks, her second husband, Robert Gray Sr., her son, Terry, and her parents, Keith and Doreen Parkhurst.
A cherished sister, Lorna leaves behind Donna (Bill), Boyd (Dian), and Jim, and is predeceased by her siblings, John (Grace), Marvyn (Lois), Doug (Mary), and Nelda (Morris). She was also a loving stepmother to Robert (Bob) Gray (wife Joan) and Valerie Hawley (husband Bill).
Lorna was adored by her grandchildren: Nicole (Ian), Kristen (Eric), Jessica (Chris), Kyle (Samii), Deanna (Tyler), Stephen (Lisa), Cody, Ethan, Chad, Brian, and Devin. Her legacy of love continues through her great-grandchildren: Sydney, Bridget, Mika, Skylar, Declan, Mylie, Sullen, Skye, and Carolina.
Throughout her life, Lorna embodied resilience, kindness, and generosity. She was a pillar of strength for her family, always ensuring they knew how deeply she loved them. Her unwavering spirit and compassion will forever inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Lorna will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew her, but her memory will remain in the hearts of those she touched.
A celebration of life will take place at the Frankford Legion (12 Mill St, Frankford, ON) on Thursday, September 26, from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM. The interment will take place the next day, Friday, September 27,1:00pm at Hillcrest Cemetery (28 York River Dr, Bancroft, ON), with a get together to follow at the Carlow Community Center (1702 Fort Stewart Rd, Bancroft, ON).
