Obituary of Melvin Thomas Coe
Entered into rest at the Brockville General Hospital on Wednesday January 24, 2024. Melvin “Mel” Coe of Brockville, aged 83 years. Beloved husband of Bonnie Coe (nee Mercier). Cherished father of Barbara Miller (Chris), Kandy Coe (Greg Ferguson), Melanie Valcour (Todd). Treasured grandfather of Thomas Billings, Robert Coe, Dan Miller and Brooke Valcour, Nate Miller (Wanda), BJ Miller, Jordan Ferguson (Amanda), Carley Norman (Justin) and great grandfather of Taylor, Owen, Nash, Atlas, Ryan, Dakota and Abby. Dear brother of Shirley Poirier (Leo), Peter Coe (Caroline) and Terry Coe (Yvonne). Mel is survived by his mother-in-law of Anne Mercier and in-laws Rosemary Henderson, Anna Patterson (Stephen), Frank Mercier (Evelyn), Bill Mercier (Eva), Nancy Caesar (Larry), Susan Salaby (Mike), John Mercier (Victoria), Peggy Juby and James Mercier (Brenda). Mel will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Mel is predeceased by his parents Howard and Barbara Coe (nee Lang) and siblings Dorothy, Betty and Frances.
Family and friends may call the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl Street E., Brockville on Thursday February 1st, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Roselawn Memorial Gardens on May 18th, 2024 at 11:00am followed by a reception at the Masonic Temple. In memory of Mel donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
