Obituary of Mary Arthur
It is with sadness that Mary Elizabeth “Liz” Arthur passed away peacefully at home In Brockville on October 28, 2023 at age 86.
Liz dedicated her life to family. Beloved wife of 62 years to the late Glenn Carl Arthur. Loving mother to Patricia, Brian Arthur and wife Trudy, Pam Kelly and husband Stephen, Michael Arthur and wife Cheryl and the late Patricia. Grandmother to Ryan Kelly and Sarah Ohara, Matthew Arthur (Laura), Michael Arthur (Sarah) Joel Kelly (Tosha), Emily Arthur and Colin Sadler. Liz cherished her 4 great grandchildren and enjoyed immensely every moment and every photo with Hunter Kelly, Ivy Arthur, Addison Arthur and Harper Kelly. Liz was also predeceased by parents Pat and Elizabeth Travers (Kingston), and brother John Travers (Kingston). She is survived by sister Daphne Brietkreitz (Calgary).
Glenn and Liz enjoyed many years of camping throughout North America with Myrtle Beach being a popular destination. To everyone Liz was a second mom to her children’s friends. Liz will be greatly missed. Liz showed a genuine interest in every aspect of all her families and friends endeavours. A special thanks to Dr Premji and staff for their kind care.
A celebration of Liz’s life will take place at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl St. E., Brockville from 2:00 a 4:00 p.m. on Friday November 10th, 2023. In memory to Liz donations to the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation Cardiac Rehab, CHEO or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
