Steadfastly loving and loyal, she was the epitome of grace and strength. We are very fortunate to have had her love and guidance for so many years as the true matriarch of our family. She touched the lives of many and was greatly admired by her family and friends.
Lillian was an active and long-standing member of St. John’s Anglican Church and the Anglican Church Women (ACW) in Lyn. She was also a dedicated volunteer, including with Brockville’s Palliative Care program for 40 years and organizations such as Brockville Loaves and Fishes and the Lyn Heritage Place Museum. For 26 years, she was an employee of Burnbrae Farms, and also served on the board of the Hudson Burnbrae Foundation for many years. She was the recipient of the YMCA Peace Medal and Lyn Citizen of the Year Award.
Her hobbies included bridge, swimming, traveling, reading, and faithfully following the Toronto Blue Jays.
She will be greatly missed, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. We would like to extend special thanks to the Palliative Care Team at the Brockville General Hospital for their excellent care.
Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street E.
