Laxton, Joseph Benjamin
At his home on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at the age of 41 years old. Ben, beloved partner of Christina Bucholtz. Loving father of Bridget Wyse. Much loved son of Ben Laxton Sr and the late Ruth “Rusty” Gooder Cohen, stepson to the late Ayal Cohen. Dear brother of Jason Lavigne (Sonya Hadley), Pat Leblanc, Natasha Cohen, Jeffrey Cohen (Brittney van Leeuwen). Loving grandson of Joan Johnson. Ben will be fondly remembered by nieces and nephews both by blood and kinship.
Ben loved passionately; whether that was his pets, friends, wrestling, Magic The Gathering, Dungeons and Dragons, music or IT, none are spared from his exuberant enthusiasm. His loss will be felt amongst all the families he has created through the years at Forbes Hobbies, Cross Body Pro Wrestling, NA and amongst his regular local and online D&D groups.
Family and friends will be received at the McCleister Funeral Home, 495 Park Road North, Brantford at a Memorial Reception Celebrating Ben’s Life on Thursday, October 24, 2024 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. The family would like to request that everyone dress casually. Cremation has taken place. If wished, memorial donations to the SPCA or Heart and Stroke Foundation are gratefully appreciated.
