Obituary of Maura Davis
Maura Davis
February 1, 1943 – February 16, 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother & Nana, Maura Davis (nee McGeough) after a short but fierce battle with cancer. Maura had just celebrated her 81st birthday
Maura is survived by her loving husband & partner of 62 years, Ronald Davis. She was the cherished mother of Harold and his wife Andrea and devoted and proud Nana to Lillie & Owen. Maura was the beloved sister of Carmel & her husband Joseph and to Jennifer. Maura was the loving aunt of Peter & his wife Jennifer and David & his wife Deeksha and great aunt to Jack, Charlotte and Mia. Maura also had extensive family in Canada, the US and Ireland whom she dearly loved. Maura was predeceased by her parents Peter & Anne and other family members, who were no doubt waiting to greet her.
Maura was a very active & longtime member of The Bowmanville Group, where she made many lifelong friendships and affected many lives. Maura celebrated her 50th Medallion ~ a truly remarkable and inspiring milestone.
Maura had many hobbies & interests. She loved ‘running the roads’, hunting for deals, bartering relentlessly and going up & down the aisles of Walmart. She enjoyed bowling and going to the gym, and then breakfast with her girlfriends.
Maura truly was a force of nature and she will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held at NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division Street North Bowmanville on Thursday February 22nd from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 pm. Memorial Donations may be made to a Charity of your Choice.
