McEachran: Ralph Allan –
A resident of Highgate, Ralph McEachran passed away at the Blenheim Community Village on June 20, 2024 at the age of 91.
Born in Chatham, Ralph was the son of the late Austin and Sadie (née Moor) McEachran.
Beloved husband of 66 years to Ann Helen (née Hughson).
Dear father to Barb Smith (George), Cindy Field (Brian). Mary Ellen Morrison (Rick), Sally Morrison (Danny), Peggy Morrison (Ed) and Josie Lucio (Andy).
Proud grandfather to Leigh Ann Schieman (Jeff), Melissa Smith, Wayne Field (Crystal), Jenni Caughy (Adam), Jeff McEachran, Casey Huisman (Steve), Katie Bosse (Adam), April Wilkins (Aaron), Danny Morrison (Vanessa), Samantha Morrison, Tina Wettlaufer (Dave), Jim Morrison (Airra), Steve Lucio (Alicia) and Mike Lucio (Jess); great-grandfather to 36 and great great-grandfather to 1.
Brother to Joyce Wilkins (Paul) and Nancy Foulis (George). Predeceased by his brother Carl McEachran and his sister Donna Collins.
Brother-in-law to Jean Jones and Richard Hughson.
Ralph was a retired employee of the Ontario Ministry of Transportation with over 37 years of service. He was a volunteer fire-fighter with Orford Township, Ralph also served as a Councillor for Highgate prior to amalgamation. After his retirement he kept busy in many ways including driving school bus for over a decade. He also enjoyed travelling with his partner in crime-Ann.
A special thank-you is extended to the staff at Blenheim Community Village for their tremendous care and compassion shown to all the family.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the Funeral Home, 76 Main Street E., Ridgetown on Sunday, June 23, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Cremation to follow with a private service at a later date.
Donations made in memory of Ralph to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
