Johnston: Murray Watson –
Peacefully at Four Counties Health Services, Newbury, on Friday, December 8, 2023, Murray Watson Johnston went home to be with the Lord in his 94th year. He is reunited with his beloved wife, Marilyn Johnston (nee Brush) (2008).
Loving father of Watson and Linda Johnston, Susan and Ralph Muehmer and Jill and Brian Downie.
Missed by grandchildren Amanda and Jeff Brown (Scarlett, Ethan), Kelly Johnston, James and Kayla Muehmer (Charlotte), Mallory and Peter Mundy (Penny), Mark and Nicole Muehmer (Elsie), Brianna Downie and Kyle Kolpin, Phillip Downie and Brooke Quinn. Survived by many nieces and nephews.
Born December 17, 1929 in Chatham to the late Arthur and Jean Johnston. He lived on the Johnston’s century farm, enjoying his life as a farmer and raising his family there.
A Private Family Service will be held at McKinlay Funeral Home in Blenheim with interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation or Four Counties Health Services Foundation would be appreciated.
