It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gary Fraser who passed away at Riverview Gardens on Wednesday November 29, 2023 at the age of 85. Gary was the son of the late Vern and Belle Fraser (nee Shrader). Loving husband and best friend of 60 years of Vicky Fraser (nee Iwanchun) of Blenheim. Father of Robert (LeeAnn) Fraser, Scott Fraser, and Chris (Jackie) Fraser. Grandfather of Robyn, Holly, Hanna, Zoe, Logan and great grandfather of Mason, Oliver, and Jayden. Predeceased by his sisters Mildred (Charles) Perdu, Betty (Don) Burton, and Francis (Albert) Jones, and brothers Harvey (Jean) Fraser and Ronald (Shirley) Fraser. Also predeceased by his brother-in-law John (Loretta) Iwanchun and sister-in-law Olga (Roy) Keech. Sadly, missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends (especially his Tim Hortons group).
Gary will be remembered for his fun loving nature, sense of humour, his years of working at Rockwell, and enjoying a happy retirement with Vicky in Southern Texas as “Winter Texans”. A visitation will be held at the Blenheim Community Funeral Home, 60 Stanley St in Blenheim, on Sunday December 3, 2023 from 1:00pm until 4:00pm with cremation to follow. A private interment at Evergreen Cemetery will take place at a later date. Donations made in memory of Gary to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated.
