Obituary of Dorothy Lozon
Lozon: Dorothy Eileen (née Myers) –
On August 23rd, 2024, our heavy loss became yet another Heavenly reunion. Our loving Mom and Mémé was swept up in the arms of God to rest in eternal peace, at the age of 77 years.
Loving wife and forever soulmate of Romeo (2020) for over 54 years…together again, eternally.
Mom’s unconditional love for her three daughters, Giselle, Jaqueline (Rob), and Jeanne (Dave), will always be treasured and sacred. We will forever fondly remember her as a loving, nurturing soul, always at the ready with a comforting, encouraging word or embrace.
She will be forever missed by her five grandsons, Joshua (Janet), Colin (Megan), Tanner, Justin and Brandon (Lyv) all of whom made her very proud and brought her much joy.
Predeceased by her parents, Virginia and Donné Myers, her brothers Alvin, Orville, Romeo, Seville, Roland Myers and her sister Jeanne Bélanger.
Survived by her in-laws Ruth Myers, Vince Bélanger, Ruth Ann Lozon and Raymond Lozon (Annette).
After initially devoting her life to motherhood she worked for many a year in a variety of work places which included, Libbey Canada, King Canning, tomato harvesting, painting and eventually retiring from Aramark as a lead hand. Her days thereafter, continued to be filled with always doing for her family and others. Her love of the outdoors, cooking/baking, shopping, playing cards, music and socializing with family and friends was undeniably important to her. Mom found comfort in and appreciated life’s simplicities.
Mom will always be known for her hearty laugh, sense of humour, kindness, incredible strength, courage, devotion and loving ways. She was the heart and soul of our family, and will be missed beyond measure. May we find solace in knowing that you will be in Dad’s arms, dancing once again in Heaven …surrounded by all of those that loved you first.
Mom was blessed with nieces and nephews, friends, extended family and thoughtful neighbours that kept in touch with words of encouragement through visits, messages, calls and thoughtful gestures.
Our sincere and heartfelt gratitude to all of the compassionate nurses, doctors and multidisciplinary staff that cared for Mom during her lengthy hospitalization.
Mom will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will live on and will continue to guide and inspire all who were blessed to know her.
This journey has come to an end… a new one begins, until the day we all meet again.
Our love for you will forever be and we thank God for the blessing of you.
As per Mom’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Interment will ensue at St. Philippe’s Cemetery, Grande Pointe on Thursday, August 29th, 2024, at 11:00am, where family and friends can join us to celebrate her life.
Memorial donations made to the Pet and Wildlife Rescue would be appreciated by the family.
