Obituary of Mayhue Alfred Norman Jackson
Mayhue Alfred Jackson, resident of Wembley, AB, formerly of Grande Cache, AB, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at the Beaverlodge Municipal Hospital, in Beaverlodge, AB, at the age of 87 years.
Mayhue was born in Amherst Head, NS, on July 28, 1937, to parents Alfred and Eileen Jackson.
He was a hard worker, he possessed many skills from a Coast Guard to a Miner throughout the years, to provide for his family. When he was not working, he loved to fish and camp, he took any opportunity that came up. Mayhue was not one for hobbies, but he did love to tinker with model vehicles or anything that needed fixing, he was the best at installing car stereos.
He will be sadly missed by his daughters Myrna (Allie) Leaman and Kathy (Arnie) Smith; grandchildren: Scott (Kim) Smith, Travis (Devan) Smith, Ruby Curtis, Katie Leaman (Ben Goddard), Cody Scott, and Cameron Scott; great-grandchildren: Rylind Smith, Malerie Plante, and Lorelia Plante; great-great-grandchildren: Lorne Curtis Jayden Curtis, Rayden Curtis, and Eloise Goddard; as well as numerous other family and friends.
Mayhue was predeceased by his wife Ruby Jackson, his father Alfred Jackson, his mother Eileen Jackson, brother Sanford Jackson, and sister Gwendelin Jackson.
A Graveside service will take place in Grande Cache, in the summer of 2025.
