Suddenly but peacefully passed at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre on Wednesday, October 18th, 2023 at the age of 66 years. Beloved husband of Pat. Loving father of Henry Deruelle (Maria) and Dawn Marie Murray (John). Proud grandfather of Robert, Sarah, Daniella and Dianna. Dear brother of Laura Farr (Gord) and Peggy Palmer-Balkwill (Dan). Dear uncle of Cody (Hayley), Curtis (Sylvia), Nicki, Kristi, Laura-Ann (Tyler), Shawn, Jordan, Christina, Hailey, Plamer, Graven, Gracey-Lynn and great uncle of Owen, Abby, Evan, Carter, Cameron, Sebastian, Savannah and Jackson. Loving cousin of Nancey, Mocky, Lisa and Michelle. Predeceased by his parents Leo McDonald, Gord and Denise Palmer. Will be missed by his best friends Al and Keith. Will be sadly missed by extended family members and many dear friends.
Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Thursday, October 26th, 2023 from 12 pm until the time of Service in the Chapel at 1 pm. Cremation will follow. Donations in Fred’s memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation and are greatly appreciated by the family.
