Peacefully passed with family by her side at the Grove Park Care in Barrie on Friday, August 23, 2024 at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late Pieter Vegter (2019). Loving mother of Harry (Charlene), Peter (Tammy) and Fred (Alisa). Cherished grandmother of Arianna (Dustin), Tyson, Enya, Noella (Patrick), Joshua and Jared. Predeceased by her parents Fokke and Jantje Van der Leij, as well as her siblings Reid, Wendelina and Jacob. Will be missed by many extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Friday, August 30th, 2024 from 9 am until the time we celebrate Anny’s life in the Chapel at 11 am. Following the service, guests are invited to remain for a reception gathering in the Lounge. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Grove Park Home are greatly appreciated by the family.
