MAINLAND, Verna Emeline –
Passed away peacefully at Riverside Glen on Sunday, May 26, 2024 in her 100th year.
Predeceased by her beloved husband James “Jim” Mainland (2011) and her son David Mainland (1964). Loved mother of Allen (Pauline) Mainland in Sarnia, Joan (Don) Cruise in Orillia and Roger (Marian) Mainland in Heidelberg. Loving grandma to 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Dear sister of the late Alpha (Jack) Butcher and Eldon (Margaret) Towriss. Sister-in-law of the late Ray (Daisy) Mainland and Leonard (Velma) Mainland. Will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews and relatives.
Friends will be received at WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, on Thursday, May 30, 2024 from 9:30-11:00 am. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 am. Reception to follow in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre. Burial will take place at Greenfield Cemetery in Arthur.
