James Edward Blyth
of Mount Forest passed away suddenly at his home on Monday, November 6, 2023 in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Oriole (McInnis) for 59 years. Dear father of Sherry and John O’Connor of Tottenham, Gord Blyth and Caroline Paquet of Palmerston, Garry and Lannette Blyth of Guelph and Paula and Len Coffey of Kenilworth. Fondly remembered by Cindy and Andre Montrichard and their children Andre and Halayna. Cherished grandfather of Blythe and Brett Chater, James O’Connor, Jenna and Jonathan Camara; Rowan Blyth, Simone Blyth; Andrew Preston, Mathew Preston, Sarah Blyth and Julia Blyth; Morgan and Alicia Coffey-Jackson, Hannah Coffey and partner Matt Poole, Ryan Coffey. Great grandfather of Vance, Max, Oliver, Braxton, Boston, Jovi, Ray, Owen, Abigail, Oaklynn and Charlie. Jim will be missed by his nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his parents Ralph and Jean Blyth and siblings Audrey Driscoll, Gordon Blyth, Joyce Gamble and Marlene Padfield.
The family will receive friends at the Crawford Funeral Chapel, 243 George Street, Arthur on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday, November 9, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The Funeral Service of Remembrance will be held in the St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Arthur on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment in Greenfield Cemetery, Arthur.
As expressions of sympathy donations to the Monck Baptist Church or the Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
