Peacefully surrounded by friends and family at the General Campus of The Ottawa Hospital. Predeceased by her husband Jerry Stubbings, her father Michael Drinkwater (Montreal), her mother Audrey Drinkwater (nee Jardin, of Montreal and Glen Nevis).
Survived by her sisters Diane Wood (Aylmer) and Maureen Moffatt (David Friendly) of Lunenberg; her niece and nephew Margaret Wood Hambling (Steve) and Philip Wood (Lori); her uncle Allan Jardin; her longtime friend Bev and her children including her Goddaughter Cassandra; and her many cousins.
Of special note are her many kith and kin of the Glengarry and Ottawa Valley Branch of the Clan MacMillan Society of North America, of which she was president and strong supporter.
Friends and family may call at the Munro and Morris Funeral Home, 114 Main Street South in Alexandria on September 28, 2024 from noon until 1:30pm. They will then proceed to St. Margaret of Scotland parish church in Glen Nevis for a mass of Christian Burial at 2pm, followed by interment at the parish cemetery.
Family and friends are invited to a reception immediately after at the Georgian House in Alexandria, 3:30 to 5:30pm, to gather together and share remembrances of Susan.
