VEINOT, Lorne Wayne – 76, of Bridgewater, passed
away peacefully at home on November 24, 2024 with his loving family by
his side. Born in Bridgewater on June 7, 1948, he was the son of the
late Curtis and Beulah (Fancy) Veinot.
As a child, Lorne lived with his parents on the family farm
in New Elm. Later in life, he spent much time at the farm and his
camp. He thoroughly enjoyed working in the woods and milling lumber
with his son Craig. Lorne loved wildlife and the outdoors and was an
avid hunter. When he wasn’t outside, he could always be
found reading. He was proud to have worked at Michelin in the boiler
room for 30 years, where he had many friends.
Surviving are his loving wife, the former Marilyn
Slauenwhite; son Craig; grandson Jacob (Hailey); brother Blaine
(Elizabeth); sisters-in law Ann Joudrey, Darlene Slauenwhite (Randy),
Carolyn Glanville (Jeremy); nephews Brett Veinot, Liam Glanville;
niece Shannon Timmons.
We, the family of Lorne, would like to express our sincere
thanks to South Shore Regional Hospital Palliative Care and the VON
for the wonderful care they gave to Lorne.
There will be no public service by request. In lieu of
flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Paul’s
Lutheran Church, Bridgewater, New Elm United Baptist Church or the
Charity of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the R.A.
Corkum Funeral Home, Wileville, where on-line condolences may be made
