Obituary of Barbara Carrigan
It is with sadness we announce the death of our mother Helen “Barbara” Carrigan, 76, of Westville. Barbara passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023 in Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow on January 1, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Elda (Arthur) Earle.
Barbara grew up in Trenton as a young girl and later moved to Westville where she was presently living before moving to Glen Haven Manor two months ago. She was an employee at Michelin Tire for over 27 years, working in various departments spending the last 15 years in Payroll before retirement and also a representative for Avon for a few years. When she was active, she enjoyed bowling, curling, knitting, crafts and especially enjoyed her little dog Lady Bug.
She will be dearly missed by children, Mike Bonhomme (Lynn), Stellarton; Cindy Bonhomme, Westville; Jack Bonhomme, Halifax; Jo-Ann Mason (Orville), Barney’s River; Johnny Carrigan (Tanya), Caladonia; Sherry Campbell (Dave), Trenton; grandchildren, Austin, Kayla, Colby, Mitchell, Nicholas; great grandchild Joseph; sisters and brothers Robert Earle (Marilyn), Patsy Polley (Grant), Jo-Ann Luddington (Tom), Dougie Earle (Laurie), Mary Ann Humphreys (Jim), Karen Earle; Vernon Joseph “V.J.” Earle; sisters in law Phyllis Murray and Doreen Carrigan; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband John Carrigan and infant sisters Elaine and Frosty.
There are no visitations or funeral service.
Donations in her memory may be made to the S.P.C.A. or Elder Dogs.
