Obituary of Arthur Fenton
The death Arthur (Art) James Fenton of Elshirl Rd., Plymouth occurred on August 25,2024 at the Aberdeen hospital with his loving wife, Lynn and family by his side.
Art was born on September 22,1951 to Alice Fenton Strickland and the late Charles Frenton of Goshen, Guysborough county.
In his younger years, Art worked as a woodsman, then for Bragg Lumber Company until his retirement. Art enjoyed working on antique cars, watching Nascar races, listening to old country music, traveling and camping with his wife, Lynn and four wheeling with family and friends.
Art is survived by his wife of 26 years Lynn (Irving), daughters Kerri Fenton, New Glasgow, Lisa Doney (Doug), Legal, Alberta, son James Fenton (Shannon), Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, stepdaughters Juanette MacKinnon (Clarey), Fort St John, British Columbia and Sheri Cameron (Bruce), Stellarton. Mother Alice Strickland, Alberta, sisters Linda MacDonald (Donnie), Dalemead, Alberta, Julie Fenton (Eric), Antigonish, Donna Myers (Ashley), Country Harbour, brother John Fenton (Peggy), Stavely, Alberta. Nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Art was predeceased by his father Charles, brother Eric, In-laws Burnie and Vida Irving, and stepfather Austin Strickland.
Visitations will be held at Eagles Funeral Home, 1611 North Main St. Westville on Thursday August 29th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral services will be from the Eagles Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Macpherson officiating on Friday August 30th at 2pm. There will be a reception to follow at the Plymouth Fire Hall.
In lieu of flowers donations in Art’s memory can be made to the Plymouth (Fire Department) Ladies Auxiliary.
