Florine’s Obituary
DEVILLER, Florine Mary – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, nanny, great nanny and sister, Florine Mary DeViller age 86 of Plymouth, Yarmouth Co. on Thursday, March 7, 2024 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born September 15, 1937 in Plymouth, she was a daughter of the late Hubert and Charlotte (Cottreau) Boudreau.
Florine leaves behind a loving family who she was so proud of and who will cherish their memories, traditions and many life lessons learned from their mom, nanny, nanny the great, sister, and Tante Florine. She was our anchor, the matriarch of the family who will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her. We will especially miss her daily phone calls and her words of wisdom.
She will be remembered by many for her big caring heart, her dedication, her generosity, her volunteer work at the Yarmouth hospital, but most of all, she will be remembered for her smile and the look of love she radiated when she walked into a room.
Surviving are daughter, Karen (Svein) Ravlo, Plymouth; sons, Allen (Dawn), Mood Rd.; Warren (Laurie) DeViller, Plymouth; Darrell (Joanne) Hubbards; as well as her grandchildren, Tyler (Kate) Ravlo, Tara (Stephen) Kaip, Evan (Sarah) DeViller, Jennine (Braeden) Cryderman, Chad (Aisha) DeViller, Jessie DeViller, Abi DeViller and 9 great grandchildren. Also surviving are her brothers and sisters, Jackie Boudreau, Forest Glen; Buddy (Agnes) Boudreau, Dianna Highton, Walter Boudreau and Debbie (Mark) Chilvers, all of Ontario. Aside from her parents; and sister, Donna Landry; Florine was predeceased by her husband, Wallace DeViller.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Yarmouth. A visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 in St. Ambrose Co-Cathedral Catholic Church, Yarmouth, followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m., Father Henry Smolenaars officiating. A reception will follow the mass in the Jubilee room, with burial after the reception in St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery, Wedgeport.
