Hartlin, Lewis Avery – Age 83, of Upper Musquodoboit passed away December 9, 2023 in Elk Court, Brookfield.
Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Judson Ira and Effie May (Higgins) Hartlin.
In his younger years, Lewis worked on local farms and annually at the Halifax County Exhibition. He later held jobs with Nova Scotia Power, Department of Highways and retired from MacTara Lumber. He was well known in the community for his outgoing manner, always talking to whomever he met.
Surviving are his sisters, Ivy Bradley and Joyce MacAdams; sister-in-law, Reta Hartlin; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brothers, Roy, Ralph and Ira; sister, Elaine; and special friend, Christine Fralick.
Cremation has taken place.
Burial will be at a later date in Hillcrest Cemetery, Upper Musquodoboit.
Memorial donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation.
