Edith (Garland)
Morrison – of Truro, formerly of Marion Bridge, passed away
peacefully on Sunday, April 7, 2024 in Colchester East Hants Health
Centre. Born in Baddeck. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and
Alice (MacMillian) Garland. She was a member of St. Columbia
Presbyterian Church, Marion Bridge.
Edith is survived by
her son, Robert “Paul” Morrison (Annemarie); grandsons,
Patrick “Robin” (Franklin) and Brett (Karley), great
granddaughter on the way (May 2024); brother, Charles (Norma); several
nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and many cousins. She was
predeceased by the love of her life and husband, William
“Bill” Morrison; brothers, Kenny (Elda) and Donald (Elma);
sister, Hannah in infancy; and niece, Verne Gillis.
The family would like
to thank the doctors and nurses of the Intensive Care Unit for their
wonderful care of Edith.
Honouring
Edith’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. A
private family burial will take place at a later date in Riverview
Cemetery, Marion Bridge. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall
– Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. Tributes,
