William Carson Bowden “Willie” – 69, Tatamagouche, passed away August 21st, 2024 in Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital, Tatamagouche.
Born in Tatamagouche, he was the son of the late Derald and Mary (Vaughn) Bowden.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Belinda (Langille); brother in law, Kevin (Diane) Langille, Tatamagouche; sisters in law, Sherry (Glenn) Fisher, Brule; Betty (Blair) MacKinnon, The Falls; special niece Joy Brander, Tantallon; as well as many other nieces and nephews; aunt, Diane Warren; uncle, Jamie Warren. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Mary Ann Bowden; brother, Wesley Bowden; father and mother-in-law, Freeman and Corrinne Langille.
Willie was known to be a hard worker, being employed for many years with Vipond Sprinkler Co., as well as Aquashell Industries in Wallace. He enjoyed carpentry, and had the honour of helping in creating one the movie sets for a Stephen King production. He enjoyed being social with friends and family and liked playing darts, cribbage and having a “drink with the boys.”
There will be no service at the time. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Coulter’s Funeral Home in Tatamagouche. If desired, donations in Willie’s memory may be made to the Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital Auxiliary or to the Colchester Branch SPCA. A special appreciation to the Doctors, Nurses and staff of the QEII VG Site, the Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital and the VON Homecare team for your care and compassion.
