The family of the late William Charles ‘Tuffy’ Ryerse, regret to announce his passing on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Tuffy was born on February 28, 1966, in Simcoe, Ontario.
William was a talented artist and is survived by his spouse, Melinda ‘Billie’ Matthews and will be missed by all who knew him.
Visitation and memorial service to celebrate the life of William ‘Tuffy’ Ryerse will be held at Pier Community Funeral Home, 1092 Victoria Rd. (entrance on Church St.), Whitney Pier on Saturday, November 16, 2024. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 12 noon to 1 p.m. with the memorial service to follow at 1 p.m. in the All Faith Chapel with Evangelist Aaron Hersey officiating. Private interment will take place at a later date.
Donations in memory of Tuffy may be made to Fishermans Ministries or a charity of one’s choice.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.
