BOUTILIER, Sarah “Tiny” Julianna- Age 69, of Indian Brook passed away October 22, 2023, peacefully at home surrounded by the love of her family. Born in Mars Hill, Maine, she was a daughter of the late Isaac and Mary (Paul) Syliboy.
Tiny devoted her life to taking care of people in home care and helping raise her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Tiny always lit up every room she entered and had the best sense of humour. She had several special friends. Tiny enjoyed gambling, taking pictures of loved ones, visiting friends, yard saling and thrift shopping with her granddaughter, Kayli. She always thought of other people and gifted all her treasures to them. She also enjoyed doing puzzles with her sister, Sharon.
Tiny loved watching her granddaughter, Kayli play hockey. She was known as “team Gramma” for Metro East Inferno-Fire and Fundy Highland Cyclones. She was the first one out the door with her bell each hockey game and tournament, she made each tournament a special girl’s trip. Tiny made everyone she met feel special and never left anything unsaid.
Tiny is survived by her husband, Ron Boutilier; daughters, Juanita Marr (John), Tieicia Robert’s (Justin); son, Jason Syliboy; grandchildren, Kristin, Kayli Raye, Kyera, Jase, Jaici, Karter, and Benjamin; great grandchildren, Raena and Owen; special Uncle Donald (Jo Anne) Paul; several godchildren, Barbara, Carrie, Angela, Theress, Nakita, Lynisha, and Xander; brothers, Bernie (Cheryl), Peter (Lorrie), Andrew; sisters, Alexandrine, Sharon (Carl), Bernadette, and Baby sister Catherine. Chosen sisters, Janice Paul, Mary (Dewey) Gehue, Sylvia & Sandra Julian, Valerie Wilmot, and Jenny Rose Johnson. She was “Tiny Mom” to Desiree Grantmyer. Several nieces, and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Vincent Syliboy and Gregory in infancy; sister, Victorine Syliboy, and a sister in infancy; grandson, Andrew.
Special thanks to mom’s siblings as well as Kendelle Blois and Rose Marie Nevin for being by moms side.
Visitation will be held 5-9pm Friday, October 27th, 5-9pm, Saturday, October 28th and 1-4pm and 6-8pm, Sunday, October 29th in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie. Funeral service 11am Monday, October 30th in St. Kater’s Roman Catholic Church, Indian Brook; Father Phil Thibodeau officiating.
