Obituary of Elsie Charlotte Joyce
JOYCE, Elsie Charlotte – age 92 of Lantz, passed away suddenly of a broken heart on April 25th, 2024, in QEII Infirmary Site, Halifax after the unexpected and sudden passing of her youngest son, Steven 11 days earlier. Born in Fosston, Saskatchewan, she was a daughter of the late Conrad and Betsy (Pederson) Erickson.
Elsie was a homemaker, raising her 4 boys in their family home built by her husband, Burton, in Milford, NS. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend. She spent her time gardening, painting, quilting, knitting and doing various other crafts and activities with her beloved grandchildren. They made many amazing memories with the best G-ma ever, that they will all cherish forever.
Elsie is survived by her son, Leslie (Lori); daughter-in-law, Brenda; grandchildren, Morgan (Mike), Mandy (Fabian), John (Ashlee), Jenna (Cory); great grandchildren, Kayden, Jaxon, Hayden, Charley; sister, Connie Dodds; brother-in-law, Edson (Betty) Joyce; several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Elsie was predeceased by her husband, Burton; sons, Graham, Jeffery and Steven.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Homes Elmsdale and Shubenacadie. No service by request. A private interment will take place at a later date.
Donations in Elsie’s memory can be made to Milford, Lantz United Church if desired.
