It is with profound sadness that we the family, announce the passing of Linda Keefe, age 74, at the Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home on December 11, 2023. Linda was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mae Keefe. She is survived by her sisters, Colleen and Carlene; brothers, Reg and John (Bernadette). Linda was predeceased by sisters, Loretta, Helen, Bernadette, Erlene, Geraldine and Brenda.
Linda lived a life for something more than herself; and believed the purpose of life is a life of purpose. This was best exemplified in providing childcare to numerous preschool children over the years and cultivating friendships. She enjoyed spending time with fellow residents at Sunset Manor playing cards, bingo, and keeping up with the news around The Strait. Linda was “Quick with the Quip” and provided fodder for discussions. Although we struggle with the physical separation from Linda, we find solace in knowing she is at her “Place of Peace”.
Linda maintained a keen interest in the athletic and scholastic achievements of her many nieces and nephews.
The Family extends their gratitude and appreciation to the health care providers, doctors, and nurses for the wonderful care of Linda over the past years.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Green’s Funeral Home. There will be no visitation and a Graveside Service will be held at a later date.
