WHYNACHT, Sarah Ruby (Amero)
76, of Lunenburg, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024.
Sarah was the first woman to work at the town dry cleaners before she later became a stay-at-home mother. She led a quiet life filled with concern for her family and a love of God. She preferred to stay close to home enjoying simple pleasures such as walks on the beach and searching for heart rocks. Paired with immense sadness, we will greatly miss her beautiful smile and pretty blue eyes. We will always remember her kindheartedness.
Survived by husband Gary of 57 years and their children, Wendy, Byron, Kevin; granddaughter Brooklyn, a source of much joy; siblings Susan, Linda, Jeanne, Peter; many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by parents Mildred (Goobie) Bush and Herman Amero; sisters Mary, Florence; nephew John; stepfather Archibald.
Special thanks to all members of the healthcare teams who provided recent care at South Shore Regional and Fishermen’s Memorial hospitals; Dr. Heather Smith Langille and Dr. Christian Bachman for their support to our family; and our next-door neighbors for their acts of love and concern.
Private graveside service and interment has occurred at Hillcrest Cemetery. In memory, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
