Judith
Susanne “Judi” Thorburn, 82, of Wolfville N.S.,
passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 in Grand View Manor, Berwick.
Born in MacKay Section, Hants County, she was one of 12 children of
the late Roland and Ruth (Burton)
Caldwell.
Judi
worked as a personnel clerk at the Kentville Research Station for 25
years. She was an ardent golfer and was a member of Ken-Wo Golf Club.
Judi loved all animals but especially her
dogs.
She will
be greatly missed by her husband, Beverley “Bev”,
Wolfville; siblings, Boyd (Nellie), Windsor; Lloyd (Mona), Millet,
Alta.; Dorothy, Toronto, ON; Alan, Toronto, ON; Bev’s
children, Mark (Ann), Wolfville; Lori (Trevor), Terence Bay;
grandchildren, Drew, Lauren, Taylor and Courtney; great-grandchildren,
Charlie and Blair; sister-in-law, Evelyn, Stewiacke, NS; several
nieces and nephews.
In
addition to her parents, she was predeceased by sisters, Alice, Helen,
and Myra; brothers, Roy, Omar, Melvin and
Clair.
In
keeping with Judi’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a
visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 in
the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. Burial will take place at a
later date in the Rockland Cemetery, McAdam, New Brunswick. Donations
in memory may be made to SPCA – Kings Shelter or the Valley
Regional Hospital Foundation. Funeral
arrangements have been entrusted to the
White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services,
Kentville.
