1956-2024
Charlene
Grace Meisner, 67, of Halifax, died January 4, 2024 at the
QEII-Halifax Infirmary, due to a long battle with cancer. She was the
daughter of Audrey Meisner, Taber, Alberta and the late John
“Jack” Meisner, formerly of Lakeville, Kings Co.,
NS.
In
addition to her mother, Charlene is survived by her son, Shawn and
granddaughter, Whitney; brother, Mark and sisters, Susan, Tanya (Stan
VanGool), all of Taber, AB; sister, Jackie Rand, Port Williams, NS; as
well as aunt, Gailene (Norman) McNeill, PEI; aunt, Muriel Butler,
Coldbrook, NS; several nieces and
nephews.
Charlene
had a kind heart and would willingly help anyone in need with whatever
she had. She often invited a homeless person into her home for a
shower and hot meal, even though she struggled with her own
demons.
Cremation has taken place and a
private family burial will take place in July. Donations in memory may
be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral
arrangements have been entrusted to the
White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
