Sarah Mary Elizabeth Myers
November 17, 2024
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sarah Mary Elizabeth Williams (Myers). After a long and heroic battle with cancer, Sarah allowed herself to be reunited with her parents, Eric & Shirley Myers in the early hours of November 17th, 2024. She is survived by her loving family, Phillip (husband), Keith, and Patrick (sons). Leaving to mourn are her siblings, Suzanne Edwards (David Edwards), Phillip Myers (Carolyn Beazley), Andrew Myers, and Paul Myers (Janet Henneberry). She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, Aunts and Uncles.
Sarah was many things to a lot of people. Her kindness and generosity knew no boundaries and was not limited to any particular group. She played a big role in the Spina Bifida Association of Nova Scotia ensuring the families and those born with this condition were taken care of and supported. She also spent much of her free time sewing heart pillows for those recovering from surgery, in a fitting role as she had one of the biggest heart this side of the rainbow bridge.
Sarah had an illustrious career working with MT&T, now known as Bell Aliant as an Electronics Engineer until her retirement. She made great contributions to the company while forging long lasting friendships and relationships throughout her time as a Bell employee. Sarah was a talented dancer, taking lessons at the Joeseph Walen School of dance, as well as an avid bowler, spending her afternoons on the bowling alley knocking down pins with her phenomenal and supportive group of friends.
We are so lucky to have had someone in our lives to teach us the meaning of kindness, care, compassion, and generosity. To all the people she has touched & shared life; please keep her in your thoughts as we wish her all the best on her journey into the next phase of this existence.
Big thank you to all the doctors, nurses, and support staff at the Dartmouth General Hospital for making sure Sarah’s final moments were comfortable and full of love.
P.S. We are certain she has already taken up residence in the big kitchen in the sky in order to teach the souls in the next world how to bake a proper cookie.
