Obituary of Ralph Marcus Leary
Leary, Ralph Marcus – age 61 of New Germany, passed away on February 18, 2024, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Bridgewater, he was a son of the late Franklyn Leary. Surviving are his mother, Gaile Bustin and step-father, Robert Bustin; sisters, Pamela Leary and Sandra Hannam; son, Jimmy Lee Hubley; granddaughter, Zola Star Hubley; step-brother, Bobby; step sisters, Darlene, Susan and Christine. He was predeceased by daughter, Sheena and stepson, Matthew. He leaves behind many aunts and uncles. He also leaves behind his closest nephew, Timmy; nieces, Nicole and Shawna; his best friend, Keith Jollymore.
In his younger years, Ralph worked on the fishing boats out of Lunenburg. Later in life, he worked in the forestry business until he became ill and unable to do so. Ralph enjoyed his trout fishing with family and friends when anyone asked him to go. Ralph was the kind of man that would give and help anyone who needed help.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Sweeny’s funeral Home, 35 York Street, Bridgewater. There will be no visitation by request. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m., Friday, February 23, 2024, in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ralph’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
A special thanks to his aunt Patty for everything she has done for Ralph over the years. Also a special thank you to Keith Jollymore for taking good care of Ralph in the past few years.
