It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Agnes LeBlanc which occurred at her residence in St. Anne Community & Nursing Care Centre in Arichat on July 27, 2024. Born November 11, 1931, in Arichat, she was the daughter of the late Honore Walter and Alvina Marie (Landry) DeCoste.
At a very early age, she moved to Halifax and worked as a hairstylist for a short time, and later on as a sales clerk for many years with T. Eaton’s Company. She resided on Dutch Village Road, Halifax for many years and then moved to Ocean Brook Park, Halifax. In April 2021 after the passing of her husband, Joseph Lubin LeBlanc, she moved to Parkstone Enhanced Care, in Halifax, and then in May 2021, she transferred to St. Anne Community & Nursing Care Centre, in Arichat.
Agnes is survived by her sister-in-law, Jean DeCoste, West Arichat, and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, and her husband, she was predeceased by her sisters, Margaret, Evangeline, Jeanette, Anita, and Bernadette; brothers, Bernie, Colin, and Wilbert.
Visitation will take place at C. H. Boudreau Funeral Home Ltd, Arichat on Wednesday, July 31st, 2024 from 6-8 p.m.
Funeral Mass to Celebrate the Life of Agnes will be held on Thursday, August 1st, at Our Lady of Assumption Church in Arichat at 11 a.m. with Rev Duncan MacIsaac officiating.
Burial to follow in Our Lady of Assumption Parish Cemetery, Arichat.
Memorial donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home Ltd., Arichat.
