Vera Caroline Waycott
1939-2024
The passing of Vera Caroline (Richardson) Waycott, wife of
the late Dale Adams Waycott, occurred at Passamaquoddy Lodge, St.
Andrews NB on January 3, 2024. Born in Lubec ME on March 2, 1939, she
was a daughter of the late Merrill and H. Genevieve (Martin)
Richardson. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Vera
is survived by her children: Jeffrey (Loretta) Waycott of Kerrs Lake
NB, Patricia (Sheldon) Conley and Kelly (Bryan) Barteau both of
Lord’s Cove NB; grandchildren: Jesse Barteau, Tyler
(Brittany) Conley, Ian (Corri) Conley, Brooke Waycott and Courtney
Waycott; great-grandchildren: Abigail Waycott, Chase Conley, Garret
Conley, Paysen Conley, Vivian Conley and Elsie Conley; and by many
cousins.
In addition to her husband and parents, Vera was predeceased
by one sister: Margaret Brunner.
Prior to retirement, Vera worked as a labourer in the fishing
industry. In her quiet time she loved reading, bird watching and
playing cards with family and friends. Vera truly loved her family and
loved nothing more than to be surrounded by her grandchildren and
great-grandchildren.
Arrangements in the care
of the St. George Funeral Home (506-755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St.
George NB. In keeping with Vera’s wishes there will be no
visiting. A private family graveside service will be held at a later
date. In her memory, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society
would be appreciated by the family.
