Mark Christopher Nodding
1957-2024
The passing of Mark Christopher Nodding occurred unexpectedly
at his residence in Blacks Harbour on February 25, 2024. Born in
Blacks Harbour on June 17, 1957, he was a son of the late Byron and
Doris (Dickson) Nodding. A loving husband, step-father, grandfather,
brother and uncle, Mark is survived by his wife: Mary Anne Chevarie;
his step-daughters: Tricia Maloney of Smithtown and Laura Maloney of
Saint John; his whole world, his granddaughters: Grace and Claire
“Quispamsisters”, Lily “lily pad” and
Sadie “the little nurse”; one brother: Stephen Nodding of
Beaver Harbour; sisters: Ora McCarthy and Joan (Fidele) Marceau both
of Blacks Harbour; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In
addition to his parents, Mark was predeceased by his son: Christopher;
and by his brother: Clifford “Cliffie”
Nodding.
Prior to retirement, Mark worked in Beaver Harbour at the
Cold Storage Plant. He loved long walks on the beach with Mary Anne,
beachcombing for red glass. Together they also enjoyed taking drives
and Tim Hortons coffee. Mark was a huge fan of the Boston Red Sox and
Bob Seger. Mark will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.
Arrangements in the care of the
St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. A
private Funeral Service will take place at a later date.
