Surrounded by her Husband and family after a short yet brave battle with several types of Cancer, Valerie Yvonne McBurney-Gallant(Vicky) passed away peacefully October 12,2023.Her big heart, infectious smile and bear hugs will be forever missed. Survived by her long time love and husband Ernest; Daughters Donna(Gordie), Dawn(Shawn) and Nadine. A proud Nanny, Vicky had 8 Grandchildren: Arora,Destiny,Connor,Colton,Cooper,Alyssa,Kyle and Spencer. . Blessed with 5 Great Granchildren: Jaxon,Kayde,Remi,Rylee and Lily. Time with nanny was always fun and adventure. Many more family and friends will find ways to navigate a world without her. Along time employee of Canada Post in many derpartments and roles Vicky retired with 30 years of service. Co workers quickly became friends. She even found time to write letters for Santa. Vicky loved her dogs, crafting,gardening inside and out and going to church, and being with family and friends. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (506-646-2424). Family and friends will be received at the Grand Bay Baptist Church, 77 Woolastook Dr, Grand Bay-Westfield, on Saturday, October 21st from 12-1 p.m. A Celebration of Life will follow in the sanctuary at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Malcolm Beckett presiding. In lieu of flowers please consider one of the following; Saint John Extra Mural who helped us keep Vicky home as long as possible, Bobby’s Hospice who look after her in her final days so we could just be with her as family. The care she received is beyond words. Grand Bay Baptist Church were she found strength in her faith and was supported on her journey.
