Sally Bourque Obituary
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Sally-Ann Elizabeth (Rodgers) Bourque, which occurred on Monday, December 4th, 2023, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1957, in Saint John, she is the daughter of the late Russell and Betty (Moore) Rodgers. Sally was a homemaker who enjoyed bird watching, gardening, shopping, day trips, country music and old-fashion cooking. Family was most important to her and she adored her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Sally is survived by her loving and devoted husband Michael of 49 years; sons Danny Bourque of Baxters Corner, Pat Bourque of Elgin, NB; daughter Caitlin Smith (Matthew) of Saint John; sister Wendy Ryan (Frankie) of Baxters Corner; brother Irvine Rodgers (Kim) of Baxters Corner; grandchildren Thane Irving, Madison Murchison-Bourque, Nicholas Bourque, Chantel Bourque, Rachel Smith and Owen Smith; great grandson Colton; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Along with her parents, Sally was predeceased by her daughter Amy Bourque and grandson Marcus Finch.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424) with visitation being held on Thursday, December 7th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Memorial Service will take place in the Fundy chapel on Friday, December 8th at 11 a.m. Interment will take place in Barnesville at a later date.
Donations in memory of Sally may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
