Norma Josselyn Obituary
With sadness, the family of Norma Josselyn announce her passing which occurred on May 28, 2024, at Shannex Tucker Hall. She was born in Saint John, NB, on October 28, 1923, the only child of Sydney and Stella (Arthurs) Wyatt. In 2016 she was predeceased by her husband A. Eric Josselyn following 71 years of marriage.
In her early years Norma ran the office and administrative functions of the family farm. Later she joined Eric at Josselyn Insurance providing administrative support until the agency was sold and they both retired. Norma was a lifelong member of Silver Falls United Church and participated actively in several women’s groups, especially the quilting guild of which she was a member for over 40 years. She and Eric enjoyed wintering in Pinellas Park, Florida for more than 20 years. She was delighted to celebrate her 100th birthday in October 2023 in the company of family and friends.
Norma will be fondly remembered by her three sons Albert (Andrea) of St. Catherines, Larry (Debby) and Glenn (Sharon) both of Saint John. She is survived by seven grandchildren Krista Cowie, Troy Josselyn, Neil (Tanya) Josselyn, Craig (Jennifer) Josselyn, Karen (Greg) Patman, Sara (Jonathan Careless) Josselyn, and Peter Josselyn. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Norma lived at Shannex Howe Hall for 6 years and at Tucker Hall for 1 year. Her family extends thanks to the staff for the care and affection she received at both Shannex locations.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (506-646-2424). Family and friends will be received on Thursday, June 13, 2024 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. A Celebration of Life will take place in the Chapel on Friday, June 14, at 11:00 AM. Interment Fernhill Cemetery. In memory of Norma donations to the charity of the donors choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
