Obituary
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Mark Allan Hazelwood which occurred at Shannex-Tucker Hall on Sunday, October 8th, 2023. Born 1964, in Saint John, he is the son of the late William D. and Beverley (Thompson) Hazelwood. In his earlier years, Mark collected baseball cards. He was an avid Montreal Canadiens fan and he enjoyed watching all sports. Mark had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed spending summers in St. Martins and he adored children and animals. Mark’s biggest accomplishment was quitting smoking 6 years ago, which he was very proud of. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Mark is survived by his siblings Susan Faith Holland (Sherman) of Kingston, NB, Heather Padden (Peter) of Vernon, BC and Bradley Hazelwood of Toronto, ON; cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Along with his parents, Mark was predeceased by his brother William N.
A special thank you to Dr. Bone, nurses and staff of Shannex-Tucker Hall and Rose & Richard Mailman for your kindness. It will not be forgotten.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424). A per Mark’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private burial will take place at Fernhill Cemetery at a later date. Donations in memory of Mark may be made to Crohn’s & Colitis Canada or to The Lung Association.
