It is with broken hearts that the family of Marie Brown announces her passing on January 15, 2024, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Meteghan River, Nova Scotia on June 18, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Emma Blinn.
Marie loved the quiet simple life, enjoying time spent with family and close friends. Her grandchildren were her world, and she cherished the joy they brought into her life.
Marie will be missed by her partner Roland Daye; daughters: Lowanda Brown and Michelle (Charles) Robertson; grandchildren: Connor Cosman (Josee), Jarrett Joudrey, and Logan Joudrey; siblings: Peter Comeau, Cecile (Andy) Jaillet, Blanche (Augustin) Saulnier, Sem Blinn, Rose (Chris) Gaudet, Adele Blinn (Raymond), and Louis (Jeannine) Blinn; several nieces and nephews; as well as friend and first husband Douglas (Francine) Munn. Besides her mother Emma, Marie was predeceased by her second partner Gus Panasuk and sister-in-law Margaret Comeau.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmoreland Rd., Saint John, NB (506-646-2424). In keeping with Marie’s wishes, no visitation or funeral service. Donations in memory of Marie can be made to the the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Kidney Foundation, SPCA, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
