Kenneth “Kenny” Anderson Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kenny Anderson on June 27th, 2024, at the Saint John Regional Hospital at the age of 75. Born in Newcastle, NB on June 17, 1949, he was the son of the late Douglas & Hazel (nee Russell) Anderson.
He is survived by his daughter Shelley Defazio (Kevin Beshara), granddaughter Kenley Anderson-Defazio, ex-wife and best friend Mary Jane (nee Speight) Anderson, brothers Allison (Pat), Donald, Douglas and Harvey (Shirley), sister Betty Ann Arseneau, fur grandson Sakari, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Paul and Ronald Anderson & sisters Marie McFarlane and Eva Bagge.
In his younger years he loved playing Baseball and Hockey. He was an avid fan and truly enjoyed cheeringon his Chicago Black Hawks.
Kenny worked at Centracare for 39 years, where he made many friends along the way, then retiring in 2013. After his retirement he could be found at the mall having coffee with his friends and buying his lottery Pull Tabs. He was often a winner!
His greatest joy was his daughter & granddaughter. Over the years he always made sure to be there to cheer them on, alongside MJ, at their many sporting & life events.
Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (506-646-2424). Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, from 2 pm – 8 pm. The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment at St. Joseph’s at later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
