The death of Janice Heather (Urquhart) Waldschutz occurred on October 26, 2023. She was born in Saint John, New Brunswick on July 6, 1948. She was the only daughter of Frederick and Lillian (Brittain) Urquhart.
Janice is survived by daughter Jennifer, son Colin, daughter-in-law Jan, grandsons Neil and Andrew, and brother Gary Urquhart.
She was predeceased by her husband, Christopher Rolf Otto Waldschutz, her parents, and her brother Malcolm Frederick Urquhart.
Janice was educated at UNB Saint John, School of Medical Technology and NBCC Saint John. Janice worked for the Canadian Red Cross in Kingston, Jamaica and in Saint John at St. Joseph’s Hospital, the Provincial Laboratory, and Community Meals-on-Wheels, Saint John.
She was a dedicated community volunteer for a variety of charities and the Bell Chimer for Trinity Anglican Church.
Arrangements are entrusted to Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424). A private family service will take place at Trinity Anglican Church.
For those who wish, the family would appreciate donations to the Trinity Anglican Church Bell Restoration Campaign or a charity of the donor’s choice in memory of Janice.
